Bubbles by Kim Dulaney
I was introduced to this jewelry designer while reading a post by Oh Joy! (One of my favorite design and lifestyle blogs I read every day). I fell instant love and was immediately inspired to start mentally putting together outfits that would feature this necklace.
What struck me about this necklace was the contrast of the hard smooth glass beads and the soft sweet baby pink ribbon. Instantly I knew that this necklace would work as an accessory in the summer, but even more so in the winter against a winter white sweater with some muted pink or beige cordoroys. (Please note that I am explaining an exact outfit that I own… I may be slowly talking myself into making a purchase very soon.)

Yes, yes and yes! Who doesn’t adore the Saarinen tulip chair!?! Add three cool cats and the Nelson Ball Clock and you are good to go.
With the new office underway I’ve realized that I definitely need a new office chair. I’m already rockin’ my West Elm Green Parson’s desk so I need to have just the right chair that will be both functional, comfortable and also compliment my desk. During my hunting I came across this gorgeous little lovey… I think it could be just the thing:
This chair is from the uber cool Etsy shop Material Recovery, head over and check out the other fabulous items they have to offer. Here is some additional scoop on the chair from:
A longtime Material Recovery favorite, our lively recycledoffice chairs add life and joyful color to the everyday monochrome office space. These office chairs are made from refurbished 6o’s, 70′s and 80′s metal frames and are professionally upholstered with antique and vintage textiles.
Each chair is made from a one-of-a-kind antique textile. This faux printed ikat is from the late 1950′s. The glorious crimson red, deep purplish blue, pink, yellow and white silk cotton mix had a grosgrain texture and is piped around the seat bottom. The office chair was made in the early 80′s and the chromed metal is in mint condition. Another bones to this later model chair is that the height is adjustable buy twisting in one direction.
Love, love, love these wellies!!! I shouldn’t be surprised that a UK based company knows how to make a good pair of rain boots. Well done Joules!
Here are some other lovely versions to tickle your toe fancy.
From the moment I saw this image of the product Pavé in the Kreoo line by Decormarmi I was in love. I was picturing all the different design opportunities that I could have for this product if I could only get the right client to take a leap of faith with me. I am already imagining a sleek lobby that overlooks a garden terrace with a number of these stones stacked around the windows, acting as little perches for people to sit upon as they sip a coffee and enjoy the view. My hope is still strong and my fingers are crossed.
It is a crisp, bright and beautiful autumn day in New England. This weather makes me want to host a huge and scrumptious dinner party with friends. When I really started thinking about hosting a big party I started to question my lack of a dining room table as well as the status of my dining room cabinets. Do I have enough service ware to host a huge group? Likely no, but I’m working on it. Perhaps I could start by adding some products from the John Derian Company. How could you not enjoy a dinner served on these beautiful Astier De Villate dishes!
Handmade in Paris, this glazed terracotta pottery is perfect for everyday use.
Cadmium and lead-free, these pieces are inspired by 18th – 19th century designs. Dishwasher safe.
Meet my newest inspired image the West Elm Wood Boxes with Lacquered Lids. These boxes are a great combination of my two loves- lacquer and storage containers. I have been in a bit of a lacquered phase the past year. There is just something so appealing about sheen of lacquered furniture and accessories and I’m always a fan anything that will help me organize my home or office. The boxes come with either a red or a white lid. In my professional opinion I think the white version will be more lasting and will match with most every design scheme you currently have going on, but the red offers a really playful pop of color. It will come as no surprise to anyone that knows me…but I’m in love with the white version. I’ll keep you posted if one of these makes it ways into my home.
