Etsy Shop: Kerry Beary’s Atomic Pop Shop “Three for Dinner“
Yes, yes and yes! Who doesn’t adore the Saarinen tulip chair!?! Add three cool cats and the Nelson Ball Clock and you are good to go.
Hi Folks! Sorry for being absent the past few days. I’ve had my parents in town and we have been having so much fun exploring Maine together. It has been years and years and years since my Dad has been in the Maine area. Luckily we have a few leaves left up here for everyone to peep. Word on the weather street is that we have a big storm heading our way. Maybe that will mean that they have to stick around for a few more days. Fun! The one thing that I’ve realized having family up is that I could really use a few more comfy chairs for people to sit and visit. Here is one option I’m thinking about:
Loving these paper mache animal busts. Perfect for both the designer in me and the vegetarian in me!
How fabulous is the grey paint on this wall!?! Love!
Getting in the mood for Thanksgiving. Totally diggin’ these dessert plates.
What a cute idea to put the platters on the wall for holiday decor.
My sister sent along this site LA Plates to me and I have to say I wasn’t too surprised. She loves monogramming things more than any person I have ever met! I was thrilled with her find. These plates are soooo cute! I can think of countless fun uses for the plates; summer picnics or barbeques, engagement gifts, birthday gifts, house warming and even just a little gift for yourself since you deserve it! If you’re worried about the idea of a melamine plant… don’t be! I’m a huge fan of melamine. You don’t ever have to worry about dropping the plates or being a bit too rough with them, I think it’s almost impossible to break them… trust me I’ve been brutal to my John Derian for Target plates. They also make great plates for children since they are light weight and typically come with fabulous patterns. I couldn’t pick my favorite plate from their site so I instead decided to show you a gazillion of fun options.
I have been a big fan of Sharon Montrose ever since a friend introduced me to her prints almost two years ago. She is an immensely talented photographer and is able to capture the beauty and personality of animals better than any photographer that I’ve seen. I currently only have one of her prints, Baby Giraffe, which I hung over the toilet so it can inquisitively stare at my male guests when they use the loo. Hahahahahahaha. I have been thinking for a long time that her prints, especially the baby animal prints, would be adorable in a nursery or a child’s room. The amount of times I’ve heard a new mother going through the animal noises with her little one is countless. Wouldn’t it be great if you could point up to a picture on the wall to help with your zoo noises?!? Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.
Take a look at her newly launched shop Little Darlings. The 8.5″x11″ prints would work so well in a odd number clusters (even pairs just never seem to balance the right way) hanging over a crib or changer and they won’t break the bank at only $25.00 a print, what a deal!
(This is the one I have in my bathroom)
(My absolute favorite of the series… how do I not own this one yet!)
If you need further proof that these work well for little kids I purchased the Kitten and Feather for my cousin’s daughter Tilly’s first birthday and from what I’ve heard it was a big hit. If you are buying a print for a gift I highly recommend framing it prior to gift delivery. Most people have super busy lives and if you give them the print unframed I’m guessing that 9 times out of 10 said print will stay unframed for at least a year. My suggestion for an easy, and not bank-breaking framing solution, would be to use the West Elm or Crate and Barrel gallery frames. They are not too pricey and there is no need to make a trip to either store just order the frame online for easy home delivery. I can attest that both series of frames are sturdy, easy to assemble, and have been holding up well even in my bathroom which is a place that has a lot of moisture. I recently strolled through Ikea and they also have a number of good frames in white, black and silver and they are slightly less expensive then the West Elm or Crate and Barrel versions. Happy Shopping folks!
Feel free to comment and let me know what your favorite print is…. especially if money were no object.
It’s almost too impossible to choose but here’s mine… I do have a birthday coming up folks….

I want to send out a big thank you to HighTower and Boston Modern Furniture for bringing an amazing new organizational item into my life, my new sparkly silver Chat-Board. This is not your typical white board, nor is it your typical magnetic board. It is a sleek combination of the two. I could tell the quality of this product by how heavy it was when I went to install it (okay fine, Zach installed it), but it went up with ease since all the required hardware was included. I’ve been writing a ton of notes (no yucky white board ghosting in site) and tacking up a new baby announcement and a few of my favorite holiday cards that I just can’t seem to toss and the sleek silvery glass is providing a stellar frame.
Thanks again guys. You have made me one very happy designer, and very eager to see these installed on a commercial project!
